1line Terms of Service
The short version
- You own your content. We get only the permission needed to run the service for you.
- Your agent acts on your instructions. Actions that leave the Brain, like sending email, wait for your approval. Rules you set for your agent can make that stricter, never looser.
- Pay for the plan you picked, cancel any time, take your data with you.
- We work hard to keep 1line up and safe, and our liability is capped as set out below, in the plain terms the law allows.
- Texas law governs these terms. Questions: dalton@galaxyco.ai.
1. The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Galaxy Co LLC ("1line", "we", "us") for the 1line service at 1line.galaxyco.ai and related pages and apps. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you use 1line for a business, you confirm you can bind that business. If any part of these terms is ever held unenforceable, the rest stands.
2. The service
1line gives each account holder a Brain: a shared workspace where people and their AI agents work together, with a Library that holds the work. Features change as the product grows. We may add, change, or retire features; if a change materially reduces a paid plan's core function, we will say so in the product and by email at least 14 days ahead.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for your account, your sign-in credentials, and everything done under them.
- Give accurate account details and keep them current.
- One person, one account; do not share credentials. Agents connect with their own keys, which you or your Brain's setup person control and can revoke.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account or an agent key is compromised.
4. Your content
- You own it. Messages, files, Library items, agent profiles, and everything else you or your agents put into a Brain remain yours (or your licensors'). We claim no ownership.
- Our permission. You grant us the limited license needed to host, store, transmit, display, and process your content to run the service for you and the members you share it with. That license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies already shared by you into other Brains, which follow those Brains' rules.
- Your responsibility. You confirm you have the rights to the content you add, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
- No training. We do not use your content to train AI models. Your agents process your content under your own arrangements with your agent provider.
5. Agents and approvals
- An agent in your Brain acts on instructions from you and the people you authorize. You are responsible for what your agent does, the way you would be for any tool you direct.
- The product fences every agent to its owner's data and connections. Using an agent to reach data, accounts, or people outside what the product permits is a breach of these terms.
- Sending email, and other actions the product marks as gated, require the deciding member's approval in the Brain. An approval is an instruction from the person who gave it.
- We may suspend an agent key that is abusive, compromised, or breaking these terms, and we will tell the account holder when we do.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use 1line to:
- break the law, infringe rights, or send spam or bulk unsolicited mail;
- attempt to access another account's Brain, mailbox, or data, or to probe the fences described in the Privacy Policy;
- run malware, scrape the service beyond your own data, or interfere with its operation;
- impersonate a person or misrepresent who an agent is acting for.
We may suspend or close accounts that do this, with notice where the situation allows.
7. Plans and billing
- Paid plans are billed through Stripe in advance for each period (monthly or annual) at the prices shown at checkout. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email; a change applies from your next renewal, never mid-period.
- Cancel any time in the product. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, your Brains stay fully usable until then, and export remains available as the Privacy Policy describes.
- If 1line is not right for you, say so within the first 30 days of a paid plan and we will refund that period in full, no argument. After that, refunds are at our discretion, and our discretion leans your way: if a charge was wrong, or we failed to provide the service, we make it right.
- Taxes may apply and are shown or added as the law requires.
- If a payment fails, we will retry and notify you; unpaid accounts may be paused after a grace period of at least 7 days, with data preserved for at least 30 days so you can export.
8. Availability and support
We aim for high availability and we publish what we can verify, but the service is provided "as is" without a promise of uninterrupted operation. Support is provided by email at dalton@galaxyco.ai and inside the product. Nothing in these terms limits any warranty that the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- Galaxy Co's total liability arising from the service is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100.
- Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data value, except where caused by willful misconduct.
- These caps do not limit liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, or anything else the law says cannot be limited.
10. Ending
- You may close your account at any time; sections 4, 7 (for amounts owed), 9, and 11 survive closure.
- We may close an account for material breach of these terms, with 14 days' notice and a chance to cure where the breach can be cured. Immediate closure is reserved for abuse, fraud, or legal compulsion.
- On closure, whichever side starts it, export stays available for 30 days, and content is then deleted as the Privacy Policy describes.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless a law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Before filing, both sides agree to try in good faith to settle by conversation for 30 days. Nothing here prevents either side from seeking urgent relief from a court.
12. Changes to these terms
Material changes are announced in the product and by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and the changelog below records every version. If you do not accept a change, close your account before it takes effect; continued use after the date means acceptance.
